Baking Time at JIT

The students and technicians at JIT have added a new fun activity to their weekly schedule… baking time! Once a week we work together to make delicious gluten-free baked goods. So far we’ve made banana bread, apple pie, chocolate chip cookies and blueberry muffins, all from scratch! The students are involved in almost every aspect of the baking process from reading recipes to measuring and mixing ingredients, and assembling them on the baking sheets. Baking time has been very successful and provides the opportunity for students to work on fine motor skills and following directions.
