Respite Care Services for Adults

Community Development Service

We offer Community Development Services (CDS) both at home and in the community, where we support adults in building meaningful connections within their communities. Through individualized support, participants develop social, communication, and daily living skills that help them feel confident, independent, and engaged.

We also offer a CDS Work Training Program at our accessible training site, Jena’s Therapeutic Center for Adults (JITAC). At JITAC, interns strengthen job-readiness skills while increasing their interactions with others in a safe, structured, and caring environment.

Respite Care Service (RC)

We offer Respite Care Services (RC) both at home and in the community, where we provide short-term, periodic, and temporary support to adults and their families. These services offer caregivers meaningful relief while ensuring adults continue to receive individualized care in a safe and nurturing environment. We also provide Respite Care at our accessible sensory-based location, Samuel’s Accessible Sensory House (SASH).

At SASH, adults may participate in our Overnight Respite Program, which provides the opportunity to practice spending the night away from home in a supportive and structured environment. This experience helps build confidence, strengthen independent living skills, and increase comfort with transitions all while maintaining personalized support and supervision.
